Course Change Request Information
Draft timetables will be available for all students through MyEd BC on Wednesday August 20th. Make sure that you check your schedule BEFORE filling out this form to ensure a change request is necessary. Please be aware these may continue to change due to balancing and course adjustments between now and the start of school.
All students should check MYED for their latest schedule the day before school starts to ensure that there have not been any last minute adjustments.
If you would like to request a change to your timetable after they were posted, please ensure that your request meets the following criteria:
- There is a course in your schedule that has been completed in summer school
- There is course in your schedule for which you have not completed the previous course (ex. a Math 11 and you have not completed a Math 10)
- There are two courses that are in the wrong order (ex. Physics 12 before Physics 11)
- Missing a requirement for Post-Secondary or Graduation
If you meet the requirements above and require a change, complete the Course Change Request form. If we need to speak with you about your request, we will reply via Teams. Please ensure you are logged into Teams!
Keep in mind, reasons for a change should not include:
- Teacher preference
- Switching classes to be with your friends
- Wanting to have a specific class in a specific block (since we may not offer that class in that block)
Please keep in mind that a request does not guarantee a change. When making course changes we consider factors like the number of students in the class (class size), the mix of students already in the class (composition), and ensuring a balance between different courses. We will do our best but it will not always be possible to accommodate all requests.
